Made to measure
Choose “Size, made to measure”, name the sizes in your customers’ words, and type your price grid: widths across the top, drops down the side, “up to” bands. Or paste it from your spreadsheet. A customer’s size rounds up to the next band on each side, sizes under your smallest band cost the smallest, and sizes over your largest show your message instead of a price. Inches work too, with fractions. The shop shows “From £24.00”, the lowest cell.
Try a size, under the grid, shows the exact sentence a customer would see, with the matching cell lit. A blank cell is flagged, and a bigger size that is cheaper than a smaller one gets a warning, because that typo is the one that undercharges.
Poles, worktops and shelves cut to length take one size instead of two. The grid is then a single row of prices, the customer sees one field, and the basket says “Size: 240 cm”.
Price lists
From 20 m², £22 per m²; from 100 m², £20. The lower price applies to the whole amount, the amount that counts is the one the customer pays for after waste and whole packs, and the page says which price applies.

One pattern, three places
A category can carry the settings for every product in it. A product can have its own. A variation can differ in steps, minimum, maximum, weight, list or grid. In each place one line says where the settings come from, with a link to change them, so nothing is edited by accident.
Shared grids and lists
Every grid and list has a name. Other products pick it from a drop-down. Once two products share one, it is read-only on both, with “Edit this grid”, which changes it for every product that uses it, and “Make a copy for this product”. WooCommerce, Settings, Products, Price grids and lists shows every one, what uses it, and lets you rename it.
Fees and minimums
A cutting fee is its own row in the basket, and a minimum charge lifts a short line to the minimum. Both are said on the product page before the customer adds, and both are on the order.
Spreadsheets
Every setting travels in WooCommerce’s own product export and import, under plain headings the importer recognises by itself. Grids and lists travel by name. A thousand products are a spreadsheet job.
