Measure and Price Pro: getting started
Pro is the free plugin with more in it, not an add-on. Install it and it takes over: the free plugin is switched off, every setting you made is kept, and a note in the admin says so. You can delete the free plugin whenever you like. Reading time: three minutes.

Everything still lives on the Sold by tab of the product, with a one-line note under every field. Nothing from the free version moves.
Installing
- In WordPress, go to Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, and upload the zip from your purchase,
measure-and-price-pro-<version>.zip. - Activate it. The free plugin is switched off for you and its settings stay where they are.
- Delete the free plugin when you are ready. Nothing is lost: both versions keep settings in the same place.
Pro needs WooCommerce, like the free version. It works with the classic and the block basket and checkout, and with every theme the free version works with.
One pattern, three places
Pro adds settings in three places, and they read the same way in each so there is nothing new to learn:
- A category can carry Sold by settings. A product in it with no settings of its own follows them, and the product’s tab says so in one line: “Same as the Flooring category: sold by area in m², at least 2 m².” with Change for this product.
- A product has the tab you know. When it uses a grid or list that other products also use, the editor is read-only and says “Shared with 2 other products. Changes here change all of them.” with Edit this grid and Make a copy for this product.
- A variation shows one line under its own fields: “Same as the product: sold in steps of 0.1 m, at least 1 m.” with Change.
The rule behind all three: nothing is edited by accident, and the screen always says where a setting comes from.
